 Online Fundraising Is Green

It's not as hard as you might think to make your fundraising activities more ecologically friendly. For example, when you use PayPal to accept donations online, you generate fewer greenhouse gases than similar transactions made via traditional banking and credit cards. In 2007, PayPal payments made from PayPal balances resulted in greenhouse emissions savings equivalent to emissions from 220 cars - or enough emissions savings to help preserve 8.4 acres of forest, according to "Lightening the Load," a study conducted by the for-profit social venture firm Cooler and commissioned by eBay.
